At Vet in a Van, seamless continuity of care for our patients is very important to us. That’s why, at registration, we always ask whether your pet is registered with another veterinary practice. We strongly encourage all our clients to register with, or remain registered at, a brick-and-mortar veterinary practice alongside our mobile service.

As a mobile service, there are naturally some limitations to what we can provide. For example, advanced diagnostics, general anaesthesia, and emergency care. We see ourselves as a complementary service to your local veterinary practice, working alongside them to provide gentle, convenient care - particularly for pets who are anxious, elderly, or find travelling stressful.

We are proud to work in partnership with Riverside Vet Care. However, it is important to us that our clients retain freedom of choice when it comes to ongoing and emergency care. If you wish, your pet may access Riverside Vet Care’s services, or you may choose to remain registered with your existing practice. In all cases, follow-up and emergency care will be provided either by your registered veterinary practice, Riverside Vet Care, or by our out-of-hours provider, Vets Now Newport.
